Given Xtra!

Just this moment been informed of two lucrative deals for the Xtra.uk team. I managed to get some of the offcial details from the Xtra.uk team and this is their official response:

Xtra.uk are proud to announce a new sponsorship package with headphone manufacturers Sennheiser. Sennheiser will be supporting us with an extended hardware package, ensuring us the best quality headsets on the market. Sennheiser have been market leaders in the area for some quite some time and we are excited to be a part of their tradition of quality. Having already received 6 of their impressive 150 range headsets, we are extremely excited about this deal.
We are also pleased to announce another sponsor in the form of #aqua-network. This new company will be supporting us with a package of game servers, BNCs, Ventrilo and another hardware package consisting of gaming tools and accessories to fit the teams needs, spread over a predetermined time frame.

This deal obviously shows that Xtra.uk are busy behind the scenes, i managed to catch up with our very own Hotteh, also of xtra.uk, for his thoughts:

Xtra`Hotteh: Im extremely happy to be a part of this, and i think it goes to show the enormous potential for teams to gain good solid commercial backing from companies with the right frame of mind if the preperation and presentation are correct.

I hope this venture is a successful one for all parties involved, and with recent huge sponsorship packages for 4k, omg! and I-eS, it's encouraging to see teams outside of the top 3 receiving succesful sponsorship opportunities.

I remember TTs comment on them not wanting to be world beaters, just to compete at a level they're comfortable with. When you start getting sponsorship, and obviously advertising that fact on the UKs #1 CS site. Surely the community expectations change and the pressure to achieve raises.

They're announcing a Sponsor (obvioulsy to please the sponsor) and in the process raising expectancy of what they're expected or trying to achieve. When their initial news post and comment was about them just enjoying the game at a level they are happy with!

Thats true. If you going to report on xtra, you need to report on 5-10 other clans too.

I do think that all new sponsorships, for any clan, should be posted because it gives the sponsors exposure and hopefully bring more of them to cs. [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]

Have any other clans got sponsorship (apart from those who have been mentioned on this site) ~ £900 ?? If they have then point em out and im sure they'll get a deserved mention. but most clans who get sponsorship (who ppl say deserve mentions?!) its normally just a website or a couple bncs...i mean big news!!

Just cos they got this sponsorship doesnt mean they have to live up to anything, getting sponsorship aint to do with what ur gonna do next, or what uve done... its to do with what you tell the companies ur gonna do next or what u tell the companies uve done.
