World Cyber Games 2004 - Location

As many of you may already know, the WCG organisation has decided to change the location of its main event, which is being held later this year. Previous WCG events have taken place in Korea, Seoul, but not this time around. Many claim that this was one of the main factors of the tournament that really helped to make it into the excellent event it turned out to be.

This year, however, the event will take place in none other than San Francisco, USA. The hotel the WCG has chosen to use is "Courtyard by Marriot", which has a total of 200 rooms for use by the gamers that choose to attend the event. Nearby, you will find various shopping centres and, of course, the infamous Chinatown. I am sure you will agree, the WCG have done an excellent job in picking this location.

Seik, I'm not saying he did take it from SK (cos I dunno), but news is news....sometimes we get it first, sometimes other places do. 	Del` Sniper's Alley 17:23 8/2/2004	Korea is roughly 1/3 of the way round the world east of here, Pacific coast of N. America is roughly 1/3 of the way round the world to the West. So yeah, it is the 'other' other side of the world. But west of here is better for daytime events, means the games will be on late evening uk time, when they're in Korea the games are when no sod can watch them, eg 4am-10am.
