World Cyber Games 2003 UK Qualifiers - Officially Announced

Sujoy Roy over at the Virtual Gaming Alliance has officially announced the WCG-UK Qualifiers this year:

It has been announced today that the World Cyber Games 2003 UK Event will be held at the NEC on 25, 26 and 27 July as part of the XSgameshow, the first exclusively consumer games event in Europe. Providing the booming UK games industry with a platform from which to communicate and interact with the millions of UK gamers, XSgameshow, will be a dynamic feature-driven event dedicated to giving visitors a unique gaming experience that will reflect the alternative reality of videogames. Covering three huge halls at the Birmingham NEC, XSgameshow, is the biggest undertaking ever conceived for the European games industry and is set to mark the beginning of a new era for the videogame generation.

This year the World Cyber Games, organised by The VGA, will occupy a complete hall of the NEC with 6,000 square metres of floor space - using both PCs and Xbox consoles to create an incredible tournament setup. Both gamers and audience alike will find themselves inside a ‘bricks and mortar’ virtual world, with the ability to follow the individual games being played on large video screens.
