WCG 2003 - Group Listings

As promised, the group listings for the WCG 2003 tournament:

The top two teams from each group will go through to the 16-team single elimination bracket. This puts less pressure on our 4kings to overcome SK in the group stages, but the chances are they will go onto face the new team9 in the first round. Good luck to all!

Gives more of an opptunity for those clans not so well known or good to at least have a shot rather than the top 10 just waltzing thru. Seedings shouldnt mean dick in sumthing like this. 	DArtagnan Infinity-eSports 20:40 11/10/2003	We kinda get an all-right route out of if we come 2nd, play aaa or forze, who we play well can beat, then it;s likely to be ocrana who are far from egrmany's best team with a-losers and mouse not taking part in german quals, then team 9 in semis if we get that far, so we have a chance, depends how we play. Gives more of an opptunity for those clans not so well known or good to at least have a shot rather than the top 10 just waltzing thru. Seedings shouldnt mean dick in sumthing like this. Random draws mean it's possible for SK, 4K, 3D, Team9, Ocrana and ForZe to be drawn in the same group. Then 4 of the best teams in the tournament get knocked out in the first round. 	Greendude 21:06 11/10/2003	Oh and my dark horse pick is ForZe :) If past Russian LAN performances are anything to go by they'll be very tough. M19 are the current holders don't forget. Although that's not what I'm basing my prediction on. Throughout a number of fps games the Russians have been average on inet and amazing on LAN. One only has to look back to the Quake days when Russian teams slaughtered the top Swedes. I'm sure a little searching on ESReality will have tales of the Russians beating the Swedes by using their mice on their legs instead of a table. [ Comment: Report \| IP: Logged ]
