With the unicon.cs team seemingly in turmoil after losing wEZ to ctx and w00kie quitting cs, they could be back on track once again after picking up Highlander and dstrukt from the recent Blacklight line up. This leaves their new line up as:

• monkE
• toko
• loading
• cRueL
• Highlander
• dstrukt

I took a little time to catch up with monkE and ask him a few questions about their new team and their plans for the future:

Nakara: Things seem to have been a bit unsteady for a while now for you especially after losing wEZ. How long did it take you to make a decision on the players you brought in?

monkE: It seemed to us when wEZ left that there weren’t many good players floating about. When we saw that Blacklight had parted ways we started to talk with what we saw as the best players that Blacklight had to offer. We played for a few nights together before we decided to make it official

Nakara: Most of the players seem to have ties to each other having played in previous clans together, do you think the team will gel quickly?

monkE: This was a key factor in their recruitment, dstrukt and cruel have played together before and are good real life friends. Also there is the link between dstrukt and Highlander both being from Blacklight. It seems so far that the team is gelling well but only time will tell.

Nakara: Of course you are in CSGN, but coming off the back of two losses, what are your targets for the rest of the season and are there any LANs in the pipeline?

monkE: In respect to LANs, yes, definately. We'll be looking to attend the upcoming unicon event and Acon5. In CSGN we havent got off to a great start but we've played arguably the best two teams in the division. We'll be looking to practise a lot on each of the maps so we always go in well prepared, as for results, we hope they will come after

From the original team of monkE, toko, w00kie, Nitrony, Lukeh and wEZ now only two remain, but of course with the exception of the new recruits the team has been together for a couple of months now and with the latest recruit dstrukt having played in CHEERS! with cRueL I'm sure they will find that spark once again.
