	Myers Saviour of UKT UKTerrorist 18:18 24/3/2004	(This was an automated post) With UKT6 coming up fast (just over 5 weeks away) I am pleased to announce we have some great prizes on offer at this event. Firstly Everglide have come on board and are giving the winners of both the Amateur and Professional tournament DKT MegaMats valued at £20 each. You can read my review of the Destrukt MegaMat here. It is also worth remembering that the amateur tournament winners we will receive B&B accomodation for a night and free entry into the professional tournament the next day. Second place at the amateur tournament will receive free entry into the professional tournament the following day. We have not forgotten those in the UKT Overload competition on Bank holiday Monday. Upset that your team did not make it into the weekend's competition, then perhaps £525 of cash prizes will cheer you up. This will be distributed as follows: 1st - £300, 2nd - £150, 3rd - £75. This means that we are offering over £900 worth of prizes over the course of the event. We will announce any more news on prizes if and when we receive them. Also we are preparing player ID for everyone that's attending, we therefore need everyone's photograph. If clan leaders could collect them together (preferably passport size) and send all 5 to me in one e-mail, please do not send them seperately. If it really is not possible to get photographs then we can take them at the event, but this could cause some delays. Expect a map list for the event to appear over the next few days. It seems as follows; The entrance fees (or some of the fees) paid by teams competing in the 1st 2nd and 3rd days all go towards prizes for teams in the 3rd day, while teams in the second day receive mats provided by a sponsor, not ukt, and some 'points' which to many if not most clans mean very little, you are even admitting yourself that you intend on dropping the points system thereby supporting my and probably others opinion that points for a tournament which may never take place, and a mousemat worth approximately the same cost as the entrance fee simply arent worth the great expense which many people will incur travelling to this event. (teams in the first day at least receive the mats, b&b accomodation and entry to the second day). 'depends if they know what's coming up for those that make it into the finals then doesn't it? ;)' With the prizes as published and personally knowing nothing of just 'whats coming' for the finals (ie no mention of even a third place prize) why is it that you still expect clans to attend the 2nd day tournament? And could still carry on some sort of points system, but not for qualifying for something, but for seeding, like in Tennis. And could still carry on some sort of points system, but not for qualifying for something, but for seeding, like in Tennis.
