UK/IE Cup II draws teams for 3rd qualifiers

Clanbase UK/IE Cup II
The UK/IE CS Cup, one of the biggest and highly anticipated online CS competitions in the United Kingdom and Ireland, started its second swing of the bat only a few weeks ago. This week the 2nd round of the knockout qualifiers were played. UKTerrorist keeps you updated.

The third and last round of qualifiers was drawn tonight, here is the official IRC announcement:

The 3nd round, will be held next week (Sun 21th of March - Thursday 25th of March)
The map on which this takes place is de_inferno.
Clanleaders/trustees/warranger have the time till Saturday 9pm to arrange their fixtures from the moment these fixture are put up on Clanbase. (later tonight/tomorrow)
The 3rd round consists of the 24 winners of the 2nd qualifier round meeting the 24 B-class seeded teams.
The 24 winners of this round will, joined by the 16 A-seeds, advance to the groupstage, which's groups is planned to be drawn next Thursday.

Hopefully its the efforts of zorro to produce a class LAN final with the top UK LAN teams attending! Also hopefully the anti cheat measure we're trying to take while its in the online stage leant some credibility to the bigger clans coming in.

Its all good to see, everyone wants a crack at the big guns, the big guns just want a fair clean game!

I thought that was kinda obvious namely that no.1 seed Last Chance.cs folded for good, despite their efforts and plans (up to just a few days ago) to reform a new team to participate in the UK/IE Cup. How can losing the no.1 seed not be bad news ? :/

02:36 19/3/2004		 its a bit of a shame Team AMD Gamer had to let this chance to replace void.gaming go because of commitments in the OpenCup and CS Challenge taking too much time. I certainly highly respect their stance to finish the competition they started playing in.
TeppuM guaranteed me however his team would defenitely be up to participate in the next UK/IE Cup though, its just that the excisting of a next UK/IE Cup depends on the success of this one.
Although a Four Kings Intel Vs. Team AMD Gamer confrontation in the UK/IE Cup would have been brilliant, you cant have it all at once of course. We are happy with the teams we got into the Cup already, and hope for a good season so we wont have to dissapoint TAG when the Cup is over ;P [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]
