UK/IE Cup II draws 2nd qualifier round

The UK/IE CS Cup, one of the biggest and highly anticipated online CS competition in the United Kingdom and Ireland, started its second swing of the bat last Sunday. The matches get more and more exciting now, as we advance to the 2nd round of the knockout qualifiers. UKTerrorist keeps you updated.

Last night the last day of the first round of qualifiers (de_dust2) for the UK/IE Cup has come to an end, and from the winners the second round fixtures were drawn, which are to be held next week (de_nuke):

Only the winners advance in this 2nd round of qualifiers and meet up with the 24 autoberthed 'B-class seeded' teams in the 3rd and last qualifier round the week after.

In other news one team of the B-class seeds (the 24 teams which got 'a by' into the 3rd round of qualifiers), 2excess, went inactive and requested to be withdrawn. These were replaced by the likes of Infinity e-Sports.
The UK/IE Cup also announced the addition of another prize sponsor, Everglide.co.uk, who sent letter that they are providing the winners (at the UK/IE Cup LAN Finals, more info about these will be announced soon) with their latest Xtreme mousepads.

I asked them whether they would be able to travel to LAN Finals (for last 4 or 8 teams) in case they made it thru the qualifiers, groupstage and playoffs. This was the case, furthermore they are UK based and still have 4 British members on their Roster. [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]

1st round was class C playing D, now its just winners of 1st round playing each other in 2nd round, no seeding.
On Last Chance, Ripper asked me not remove the team from the UK/IE Cup yet, as he said they are detirmined to play and might be able to get a team ready, I set him a deadline as in next thursday to give me a final answer.

On Infinity-eSports, we thought it was the right thing to do, and it also is supervisor discretion.
