TAG Sent to Lower Bracket

Team AMD Gamer, having beaten IEC*DTS 13 - 4 on de_cbble, just lost to top Russian side Virtus.Pro in the upper bracket quarter-finals 13 - 8.

The game on de_inferno began badly for TAG as they lost the first half 7 - 5. Despite a good performance in the 2nd, winning the first 3 rounds and pulling ahead, a good CT performance by Virtus.pro locked down the map and they won the rest of the rounds.

This result means that TAG will now enter the lower bracket to play a Latvian winner from the lower bracket 1st round. More information to follow.

	a1ex^ 13:48 28/3/2004	why do you people still fail to realise the fact that the uk is the worst nation for gaming bar none, and this is not due to connections, its simply due to the fact that UK people have the worst aim going. TAG are a very poor side who rely solely on beating teams through slow 'tactical' play, but at the end of the day you still need to be able to point and click on the oppositions head. something TAG are just plain bad at. 	a1ex^ 18:43 29/3/2004	ireland has 3 million people, the uk has 70 odd million. and as regards to the uk being better, well you are just being silly now. the only irish team that has been to the uk has been dNC, and we lost once and that was 13-11 to 4K/I-eS. this was with little or no pratice with a new team. ireland also has some of the best counter-strike players in europe. just look at vertakill, ajam and timo..
