It's 5am and you figure that you'd have a few rounds of pixel bashing before you hit the sack. However one comes across the problem "Cannot connect to Steam content server, please try again".
After many tries of re-connecting and a small tip off, I decided to do a complete re-fresh of all the UK Steam CS servers. Just as I thought, not a single player on any server. Conclusion is that the Steam network is currently down (for maintenance?).
When there is more information I'll let you all know. For the mean time, sit tight, and suck on a lollypop or something.
**UPDATE**
All appears well in the wooded realm of Steam now and with Noto safely tucked up with his teddies everything appears to be back to normal.

and yeah ww2 is a bit annoying but the gameplay is still top notch...you never know a mod might come out with recent weapons etc, wouldnt be hard [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]

Slow paced, too many f***ing grenades, and the guns have the usual UT engine crappy feel. Though the sniper rifles are quite good.
The main bad thing with it though is it's like a f***ing eyetest if you try and find someone else to kill, it's so hard to spot people because of the camouflage and dark shades of colour. OK for singeplayer, but I'd rather not have a headache after playing for 20 minutes. The maps are too complicated also.
