Over on the Steam forums, everyone's favourite Valve employee, Erik Johnson, has announced yet another update to the now infamous platform. It seems there's a new version out which will fix all the crashes people have been experiencing when launching the game.
Here's what the man himself had to say earlier today:
There is a new version of Steam available now that will address some of the crashes that people have seen when starting and launching a game. The first Half-Life 2 movie will be released later today.
Well, I can now tell you that the first of the HL2 movies has been released and can be downloaded via Steam. Apparently however, it's the same footage we have already seen from e3, but of a much higher quality.
Moving onto other Valve related news, I noticed this little gem over at CS Central. It appears Valve and Sierra have put the movie rights for Half-Life up for grabs. However, we shouldn't start getting all excited just yet, apparently many movie rights from other games have been put up only for them to be ignored by the people that matter. However, with Half-Life being the number one game of all time, surely the rights would be snapped up by someone? Possible actors to play Gordon Freeman in the comments please!

Nah, Ed Norton for Freeman...
Geeky and skinny looking (typical scientst stereotype), but somehow still manages to look cool, plus he can actually act.
Athony Hopkins as G-Man -he always looks evil!
This would be a good poll topic... [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]
