The guys at Valve have obviously been busy with the new patch. New content, updates and fixes have been released!

I agree that an extra passageway would make it an even better map - perhaps an easier way to access the vents from T spawn. But as it stands, it's a great map. Can't complain about the position of spawns in relation to bombsites when you've got maps like cobble where you start in the bs as CT, or d2 where you can boost to it within seconds (same with a lot of maps).

But one extra passage so that there are not two choke points would be ideal. Personally I think there should be a CONVEYOR belt floor like at Heathrow that super speeds the Ts up to the hut before the CTs can get there! [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]

To be honest lads, it CAN have 3 choke points, valve just need to change the spawn points or shrink the t spawn a little.

If you imagine the T's getting out of the tank arch before the ct's can get near, that opens up the route to ct spawn, and the route to labs as 2 separate choke points. With the other one past the cliff, thats 3. It's possible, just bit of tweaking and its fine.

I'm playing source a lot at the moment, and i'm really enjoying it. Lots of skill compared to 1.6, for instance, i play in a mix, I dont get lucked by noobs, I dominate :)

I got annoyed now and then at some s*** b****** spraying me down but then it wouldn't be cs without that. I dislike the current player models and some of the maps are fantabulous like cobble, some are w**k like dust.

Things like the fbs were very confusing and the guns felt plastic because the models and sound were terrible.

The models are such a dilema, for me they seem to spoil the whole game lol. Players look awful, and the gun models, fat farcry colt, all just look and sound terrible. It still doesnt feel like cs like we know it, however new prod is v.nice and good to see some attempts to make it feel smoother :x [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]

ever consider that the people playin source at the moment are utterly dire.
The games awful at the moment for so many small points. Not least the disappearing grenade trick adn the swithcing between guns stopping you firing.
add to that the huge chunky text and no red health when you get below 30hp, no visual indication of headshot, AWFUL headshot icon.. i could go on and on and on but i got work to do [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]

In all fairness they have written it from scratch again seeing as you can't just port the code over for all the graphics gubbinz;

Be glad its not the same as CS b1 if any of you remember it!

Takes time to create games into what you want them to be.

yeh, it's changed :

CS:S:

* Added map: de_prodigy
* Improved player movement against walls
* Improved choppy player movement when bouncing down slopes

Source Engine:

* World rendering optimizations
* Fixed problems with demo recording
* Added command "setinfo " to allow clients to add custom user info fields (creates a new cvar flagged as FCVAR_USERINFO)
