Lots of small bits of news having floating about in recent times, so its about time some of them see the light here.
- CS:Source BETA along with Steam received another upgrade last night. Check out the changes and additions here.
- Clanbase have opened signups to teams for its new Cup season, including the
OpenCup for Counter-Strike. Log into the site and sign up here. - Followed by the newly issued CPL Rules by CPL Commisioner Justin Blanchard, the Irish CS community site
CS-Ireland have performed an interview with the entitled source of these changes, Midway of Gotfrag, who saw his recent article come to reality. Check out the interview here. - Ampednews.com created a 35 minutes long CS:Source movie covering studies to several aspects of the game such as physics, recoil, jumping, lightning, ragdoll effects and more. To download the thing, go here.
- The number of sponsors and ammount of money involved in the Counter-Strike scene have greatly increased over the past years. CPL President Angel Munoz, now asks the gamers "Do companies that sponsor CPL have a better chance of attracting the gaming community's purchasing dollars and recommendations?". Let him know by voting in his poll over here at the CPL Forums (registration required).
- British CS team CAution! have recently released a movie based on their recent play at We Got Rhythm. Enjoy!
- Always wanted to have Counter-Strike straps to attach to your keychain, mobile phone or digital camera ? This must be your lucky day then, as Lik Sang started selling them for as low as 4.95 american dollars.
- The playoffs for the ESL CS European Nation Championships have been finished, resulting in the final lineup of the following countries who qualified for the €12,000 LAN Finals (held 4th and 5th of September):
Austria,
Finland,
Germany,
Greece,
Sweden,
United Kingdom - ex Clanbase admin amarc wrote a column on esreality.com in which he expressed his vision on the slow fall of the giant, and the reasons for this decline.
- VR Zone Hardware ran a CS:Source benchmark involving the latest and greatest graphics cards both from ATI and Nvidia. Check out the article here.
- With the release of CS:Source BETA, people were left in despair for not being able to use their old CS sprays. Dont worry any longer, 'cause here's a step by step guide to get you a new one.
