CB Open Cup Final - ONE Step Too Far

Magic tonight beat ClanONE in the final of the Clanbase Opencup Fall 2002 Division 1. The final score was 26-22 after ONE lost 15-9 on de_nuke and then won 13-11 on de_dust2. Soon after the match I grabbed a quick word with KhAoS:
Ripper: Are you happy with how ONE performed tonight?
KhAoS: Yes, we played to the best of our ability under poor circumstances.

Ripper: The rumours of ping problems have been sweeping IRC, can you shed any light on these stories?
KhAoS: well initially magic were demanding both maps to be played on a danish server as one of their players had a spiking 150 ping (as if downloading :O) but was fine in the actual match. Magic demanded we join 3 danish servers to test ping, which we did, first 2 pinged 70, then the final server pinged 110. Magic then said that they'd choose this server as theirs, which I thought was bad sportsmanship on their behalf, but we can't all play fair.

Ripper: Do you think you've done enough to be considered for the Eurocup next season?
KhAoS: I would hope so, i don't think 4kings have applied and if they don't i think we stand a chance of at least getting a playoff for a EC place.

Unlucky to ONE, never nice to lose under those circumstances but lets hope they get the chance to prove themselves in the upcoming Eurocup.

Now in the rules im sure it states taht both clans have to agree and you can't refuse to play on a server unless theres like a 50 ping difference on AVERAGE ??? All the admins seem terribly biased. Appeal !! Its not fair that the euros get their own way EVERY game.
