OCSL LAN - Dublin

The organisers of the OCSL league have revealed the third in the series will take place at Oblivion Internet Cafe in Dublin. Amongst the teams attending will be sg, tod, alert.cs and the mix team, WheelChair-eSports.

The event has grown over the last year and there are plans to make this a more regular event for the Irish CS scene, and the organisers hope that, when more funding and sponsors come into play, the UK scene will start to take interest. With the event now sponsored by Everglide, the winning team will be getting one of their packages: A Counter-Strike server and coms server. In the future, OCSLs first prize should be around the £500-£800 mark for the winning team.

The event's main organiser, reddy, had this to say:

I hope to find a proper location where I can seat about 40-80 players at one stage, running the event over the weekend and having 20 or so machines from a top spec manufacturers for the competition and a BYOC for the spectators who just want a plain old LAN.
The plan is to go bigger and better every time. Right now I'm starting small, but I hope that it will pick up soon, but until then, the oblivion internet cafe does just fine. The upcoming LAN is shaping up nicely and everyone is awaiting Friday evening when the players take to their seats.
