• There has been quite a glut of movies recently, so if your like that sort of thing a movie has been released featuring a3.Triggs on fy_iceworld.
• An interview with Valve Employee Erik Johnson has been put up on the Battle-Fields Network. In this he talks about CS 1.6 and Steam beta 2.0.

  Counter-Strike will be receiving some significant content with this update, can you first detail the new weapons and riot shield that will be making an appearance?

  There are two new rifles in Counter-Strike 1.6: the FAMAS and Galil. The FAMAS is an accurate and fast firing assault rifle. It has both single-shot and burst modes of fire. The Ts get the Galil, which is less accurate but does more damage.

  The CTs will have the option of buying a Riot Shield that should mostly be used as the first line of defense when storming Ts that are holed up in their base (see pics 3 & 4).

  It looks as though there will be some changes to maps made by n@rby. Will there be any new maps included that haven't yet been announced?

  Yes, that is very possible. We're going to be testing out a few new user-made maps in the Steam beta. We'll see how they play and how people react to them.

• The Counter-Strike Zone was launched yesterday, with guides, news, downloads and a newsletter.
• Finally, one of the members of the GESDER clan has put together a movie showing the top members of the clan. It's is available for download from their site.
