It was announced late last night that MonkeyMagic have ceased their accord with EVD-Gaming and have transferred their support to well known UK GSP Game2XS.
MonkeyMagic have been struggling of late to piece together any form of coherent support from their backers at EVD, and this seems to have been the core reason behind the team changing sponsors. I caught up with Smiffeh to clear a few of these things up :
What went wrong at EVD, and how things are likely to shape up here at G2XSBasically over the months in evd nothing was really happening and we were approached by g2xs and were in talks with them for a while and basically they seem a lot more organised and we believe that things will actualy happen with them. They already have UT and COD squads so with adding a CS squad it will add the to the exposure.
What do Game2XS hope to offer you in terms of backing?
We are still in discussions at the moment but basically server package, vent etc. and funding to attend UK events for now and in the future possible foreign events.
I for one am pleased that MonkeyMagic appear to have found a deal that will actually benefit the team this time around. I'm sure I wont be the only one in wishing MonkeyMagic the best of luck with this venture and look forward to seeing them at UK events in the near future.
