After the departure of the Lastchance CS and CoD teams lc has decided to call it a day. All of Lastchance's teams achieved a lot in their time especially the CS squad who were twice winners of the Barrysworld and CSGN tournaments. They also landed top 5 finishes at 3 UKT lans. A full statment has been issued on the Lastchance Website but here is a snippet:
Well after 1 and a half years of running lastchance, myself and sol have both decided to officially close down the team. The reasons are fairly obvious, but I`d rather talk about what we managed to achieve in the time that we were lastchance instead of looking at its downfalls. We started as a CS team, and we made a big impact in the CS community with our good results and attitude towards the game which got us many loyal fans who I think were one of the main reasons we kept going. The multigaming approach expanded our horisons, and we managed to have a very successful RTCW team on board in the beginning, who then went on to be on top of CoD. Our UT2K3 team were just as good, with a whole bunch of achievements they brought new life to lastchance and our community continually expanded. I`d like to thank many people for the time they spent helping me run the team, even if we did have our past quarrels... its all in the past.
Good luck to all of Lastchance in whatever they decide to do next.
