Interview with [4K^Dark]

Over the past few weeks we've seen a lot of you going crazy in the columns section, especially with interviews. This time up, community favourite Nick^ has interviewed 4k's latest addition to their counter-strike team, Ruben "Dark" Bielenberg. Here's a tidbit:

Nick: You think gaming should primarily be for the 'escaping pressures'/hobby element, rather than an 'e-sport' with all the money? Do you think that with money involved it'll turn it from a great hobby into something people will get into just to get paid?
dark: Well to be honest, the past 6 months I only stayed in the game to earn money, I did not have a lot of fun playing the game on a non-competitive basis.
dark: But.. I didn't earn squat :)
dark: CPL Dallas Winter became the largest flop i've ever been to when it comes to team games, computer or other sports.
Nick: Elaborate :)
dark: Well
dark: We won the Mindtrek qualifier where we thought all the toughest competitors would be attending, except 3D of course.
dark: And we did not have a lot of difficulties winning the tournament.
dark: So I really thought we were going to win CPL dallas or at least get to the finals...and when I am in a final... losing is not an option :P

It's definitely one of the best written pieces I have seen for a while, so be sure to check it out.

	disty 23:36 2/7/2003	a damn nice interview if you ask me with original ideas and content, but what with all this bulls* about our cuisine tbh. If you go have a proper english dish done properlly its just as good as food made around the world. i find the amercians funny when they come over saying 'your food is s*' while munching on a big mac, gg wp. I love all food, italian, greek, spanish, mexican, indian, etc but some of the best is when i go visit my nan in yorkshire... nothign beats a full english fry up, im talking bacon so recent u can still hear the pig squeeling with double yoker eggs and black pudding. ownage :) [ Comment: Report \| IP: Logged ]
