Infinity-eSports Merge With Four-Kings - Official Statement

Today Infinity-eSports officially merged back with the Four-Kings gaming team for purposes for sponsorship and renewed opportunities. Here's a quote from the press release:

As rumoured in Januarys issue of PCFormat top UK Counter-Strike team "Infinity-eSports" and top UK multi-gaming team "Four Kings Intel" are to merge. The team will be ran by "Infinity-eSports" leader Douglas Wright and the "Four Kings Intel" leader Toby Aldridge. The team will consist of four main divisions; Counter-Strike, Return to Castle Wolfenstien, Unreal Tournament 2003 and Warcraft 3 (Team to be disclosed). The team will aim to push pro-gaming in the UK to a higher standard and a wider audience than ever before.
"This coming together is going to spell some exciting times for us, we are looking forward to working together and pushing E-Sports in the United Kingdom to the next level and bring together the communties from the most popular online games in the World" said Toby Aldridge, Four Kings team leader.
"We're all looking forward to playing again under the 4K name and helping push the team into bigger and better things. With support from Intel(r) we hope to make our mark both in the gaming scene and the mainstream media." said Douglas Wright, Former Infinity Esports team leader.
Partly due to the flurry of mainstream media coverage "Four Kings Intel" recieved around the Intel Masters event the team and its associated business developments will be operating under the 4K brand. The team is looking to offer many new services and will be announcing the new company name soon.
The team's principle sponsor will be Intel and support from other sponsors will be announced at a later date.

With Infinity-eSports back as 4K again you can expect all gaming divisions of 4K to dominate the gaming scene in the forseeable future.

In my opinion it's a shame the transition now moves in reverse, the IeS team is the most successful and popular gaming team the UK has produced and has eclipsed anything 4K has done since we left. Somehow 4K managed to get the sponsors IeS deserved. The guys are making the smart move and going back for the sponsorship, but the whole thing is fundamentally wrong and these sponsors should really look at who is valuable.
