Intel Extreme Edition Challenge 3

The Intel Extreme Edition Challenge 3 has just been anounced, and will be taking place on the 3rd - 5th December. The event will be held in central London and there are rumours circulating that there will be something big to do with Counter-Strike taking place there, more information will be made known in the next couple of days. As the event has just been announced there isn't any sign up information available yet, but I am informed this will be made available soon. There will be a BYOC area hosted by Jolt.

The big twist this time is that Counter-Strike will not be used for the showcase games, Painkiller will. Not only that, Painkiller players will have the opportunity to win a place in UK team, Four-Kings. There will be online qualifiers leading up to the event, and the winning player can expect to receive the following:

One year contract with Four-Kings
Travel to CPL World Tour events

4K's film maker, Simon Bysshe will be on hand as usual to film the proceedings, he had the following comments on the event:

If you think this isn't particularly CS based then I am just giving you an overview of the whole event, we will of course keep you posted on any news about CS activities at the event.
