PlanetHL have posted a link to a Slashdot news post, which reports that a home in San Franciso has been raided by the FBI in relation to the theft of Valve's Half-Life 2 source code. The code was stolen a while back, but the raid has taken place over the last few days. The guy who was subject to the raid has posted his accounts of the whole affair on a recent weblog.
Of course, this kind of story always brings accusations of hoaxes, but the guy has also posted scanned images showing the warrant the FBI used and a 'seizure receipt' for the items they took. Apparently 'upwards of 9 machines' were seized. Those of you that want to take a look at his weblog should note that the site is extremely overloaded/slow; it took me half an hour to get in. There are six images; five detailing the warrant (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) and one with the seizure receipt.
True or hoax, it's all very amusing.
