Although this has not yet been confirmed by an official announcement, Vivendi are apparently informing games retailers that Half-Life 2 will be released on November 26th in Europe, 3 days after the new release date of November 23rd in the US.
Stores such as Amazon.co.uk and Play.com are still listing the old "best guess" release dates in early November, but gameplay.co.uk appear to have updated their site to the new date.
Eurogamer are also suggesting that the pre-order for the game via. Steam, which should open next week, might not be available outside the US.

Besides, theres nowt wrong with burning off the gcf files, when you get HL2 should you format...
I've opened the gcf files up, u can basically get all of hl2 out of it, bar a few dlls which are crucial :( (might be in the source releases though?) [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]
