Half-Life 2 Release Candidate given to Vivendi

Gabe Newell has posted a short message to the HL2 fallout forums confirming that Valve have now sent a release candidate of Half-Life 2 to the game's publisher, Vivendi Universal. This means they think the game is done, but there's still some testing to go to iron out any remaining bugs. Best case scenario: expect the game to hit the shelves in November, worst case: it could drag on for a few more months.
