ESL ENC Postponed

Hot on the heels of the infamous Clikarena, the Electronic Sports League has decided to postpone their upcoming European Nations Championships less than two and a half weeks before the event was due to begin. Although no reason has been officially given for the postponement UKT has been informed that the delay was down to "holidays and CPL".

A snippet from the postponement announcement can be seen below.

The ESL European Nations Championship, one of the Greatest International Tournaments for National Teams, after the football European Championships in Portugal or the Olympics in Greece, will be postponed from the 6th and 7th August to the 4th and 5th September 2004. Then Europe's best six National Teams of both Counter-Strike and WarCraft III will go for a grand total of 20.000 € prize money.
The ENC LAN Finals will be held at KOMED Conference Center in Cologne, Germany on 4th and 5th September 2004.

Please note that UKT LAN finals date will not change as a result of this and will remain as the 14th - 15th August. The current scheduled date however clashes with the upcoming GameStars Live EOGC event.
