The eight male teams due to compete at the Euro Cyber Games yesterday in France, have shocked the gaming scene by boycotting the competition. The tournament has been plagued by delays and with many of the teams having return flights home today, the teams made the mutual decision not to play at all. This highlights what teams can do at poorly organised events if they work collectively!
The male tournament was due to take place at 1PM CET on Saturday but as the female tournament was a World Cyber Games Qualifier, it took centre stage and the male tournament was pushed back. It will be interesting to see what other major competitions are held in France over the coming months after ClickArena and now the ECG.

They kept us waiting from 12pm - 2:30am to tell us it has been cancelled. I nearly ended up t**tting the organiser hardcore. They all said its gonna happen and that. All ended up with the GG,aAa and aT lads helping run the event because the organisers had f***ed off. Spent around 14 hours doing nothing all day basically bar looking at the tomb raider woman with huge hooters and tickling marc and doug. On top of that we had to wait at the airprot for 2 hours for the f***ing austrians and hungarians to arrive.
lol some of the women started crying their eyes out after they were shouted at by their 'coaches' and ran away from the gaming area. Another reason as to why the tourney was called off, GREAT!
We all got together at like f***ing 2.30am to decide universally that the event wouldnt happen. It wasnt really a choice, it was logistical. The f***ing women's event didnt finish till it must of been about 4am at least. They were setting up since Friday morning only for the event to f*** off into Sunday morning. They must of had about 100 sets of Audio 90 Platronics stolen as well! People were coming up to a huge Platronics box and taking s*** loads of em and the security were just turning a blind eye, was quite amusing. Pro Evolution 3 owns on the ps2, totally awesome game. Hotel was like a 500 euro (350 odd quid a night) room which was good, tho the phone didnt work, my bog was pee'd on before i entered the room and they didn't leave any chocolates on the pillow.

Event didn't happen, main organisers were awful. Every player I asked agreed that infact this was the worst lan event they had ever attended.
LOL oh yeah sorry i forgot to mention that our lunch and dinner consisted of stale cold tomato soup, some sort of cancerous fish on onions at some laughable size. The whole of the food arsenal couldn't fill the poor stomach of a small african baby in Namibia. The bread was off and THE PRICES?! they charged 2.20 quid for a small bottle of fanta and 8 quid for a f***ing pint. [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]

SCEE*Ladies didnt get to play their 1/4 finals match either becuase they cancelled them to try and get the male tourney started. So the final four got their place by default!

first they got f***ed over and werent told whether they started the game or not only to then be harrassed every 2 seconds by disgusting ageing admins. Yes they was getting stronger (nerves settled) as it went on. Alot of talk about some of the second placed teams being able to take some of the final 4, who got it by default really.
