ECG Female Results

Yesterday, the European Cyber Games 2003 Female Qualifier took place in France, amid all the controversy of the Male tournament. Unfortunately, the UK hopefuls SCEE were unlucky as their quarter final was not played due to poor organisation, as the French outfit BtB Ladies went on to win in emphatic style. The final was eventually played out between BtB Ladies and the Danish team, DK Girls. The final result was 13-10 and the top four looked like this:

Well done to BtB Ladies who have earned themselves an all expenses paid trip to Korea for the World Cyber Games 2003. Unlucky to SCEE who did make it to the quarter finals but never got to play as the organisers rushed the tournament, so the Male competition could get underway. However, as we all know the male tournament never did get underway and SCEE have a very good case to feel hard done by.

	Spacette 11:23 29/9/2003	We all feel cheated by what went on, the people organising had no clue what they were doing. At one stage at least half the girls there had half life cd key in use when they tried to join the servers. Took 4 hours to sort out my pc and even then I had problems with sound. We finished our last game and celebrated the fact we were through to the quarter finals, then we were told that instead of the top 2 going through they had now changed it to only the top clan from each group were going through to semi finals. Because they had no time to do quarter finals. We all feel very cheated by it because after we had warmed up properly and settled in we felt we could have went all the way to the final. I spoke to girls from other countries who were also very disappointed by what went on, the group D games did not start until 8pm , those girls had been hanging around since 8 am in the morning, so were understandably annoyed :/ Good to meet some of the other girls tho and we still managed to have a good time and keep fairly good humoured through it all.
