SK-Gaming reports the seedings from the upcoming CPL Brazil World Tour Stop taking place from the 27th - 29th May at the Sheraton Rio & Towers Hotel in Rio De Janiero.
Unfortunately only four European teams are in attendance, but with a $15,000 first place prize on offer, the competition should be fierce nonetheless. The seedings for the event are as follows:
- GamerCo
- SSV-Lehnitz
- mibr
- SK-Gaming
- g3nerationX
- Fastlane
- Wings
- GamerCrashers
- United 5
- PuntoCL
- Adrena
- Army
- REVOLTZ
- Advanced
- ClanX
- Emotion
This competition could well prove the major stepping stone for one of the many talented unknown Brazilian teams into the Counter-Strike limelight. The top two Brazilian sides, mibr and g3x, will be looking to build upon their respective 5th and 7th place finishes at the recent CPL Spain World tour leg. Whilst SK-Gaming will most definitely be looking to build upon a string of under-performances recently and clinch a top 3 finish, the same goes for SSV-Lehnitz after an awful display at Rixhack in Sweden.
Two possible underdogs include 6th and 7th seeds Fastlane and Wings both being an ever-growing presence in recent competitions. Top seed GamerCo, now including former 4K member DarK, will be looking to put their WEG season 1 experience behind them and prove why they deserve the top seed at such an event.
