Clanbase UK/IE Cup II
The UK/IE CS Cup, one of the biggest and highly anticipated online CS competitions in the United Kingdom, closed signups for its second edition last Sunday, and is now ready to announce the precise layout to the public.

Tonight at 8pm GMT, one week earlier than initially planned, the UK/IE Cup Head Admins make an IRC-announcement in #ukcup:

  • The final Tournament Layout
  • The list of accepted teams into the Cup
  • The top16 autoberths into the groupstage, rated by respected members of the CS community
  • The full seedings of the other accepted teams
  • The maplist and starting date for the first matchweek
  • The exact fixtures for the first round.
  • Brief explanations on the procedure and instructions.
Basically all decent teams active in the British and Irish CS community have signed up and will now get to know whether their team is given the green light and if this would be the case when they can begin their Cup campaign.

The Cup organisers urge all teams to get their clan rosters up to date in time and SteamIDs entered at Clanbase, to avoid being disqualified or have players not be stated on the allowed Cup player list.

I really do urge clans to sort their rosters. There are some well known and respected clans with messy rosters!

Just like we will be pressing hard on suspected cheat clans to make sure they play clean. We will be pressing hard on the upper end of the community to make sure they play fair. We will not be tolerating skilled mercs playing for friends, even if they're unclanned.

Just because your CB account has a few extra members with names like 'who am I?' or 'just incase we're short'. Or a member doesn't mind giving his steam account out for the day. Doesn't mean we will except it!

We (me) will be looking into every clan fro the top down to make sure it's as fair and clean as possible!

So clean up your accounts, you have plenty of time. Remove duplicate players who have moved clan, and the bogus named players (yes there are plenty). Most importantly make sure you legitimate players are listed under the correct names!!

If you want a serious competition and to be taken seriously. Then it's time to get a bit more serious! Zorro is puting in alot of his personal time trying give the UK some sort of prestige back into online competitions, with LAN finals at the end.

Isn't this hat most of us have been asking for?

You got me all wrong. I had old issues with nalin which I decided to air in our game becuase he'd returned to CS. The opportunity was there, I used it. We even had a light hearted chat in irc the next day about it all. With a bit more indeph s*** thrown around. You need to lighten up as I have know problem with cox, I actually quite like the clan!

- Know your own SteamID (in CS console type "status" )
- Make sure you are logged in.
- Go to "Admin" in the upper right bar
- Under "Personalities", scroll down to the line saying "Several games have unique numbers or 'guids' to identify individual players. You can specify the guid's for your games here.", click it

obz, seeding are not my ideal seeding tbh. However when you take 6 ppl and ask them to seed top 16. then compile a list from that, some clans will be put low through bias opinion (maybe). I mean SCEE only got 14th or whatever cos I seeded us 1st!!

typical example was xtra who I thought didnt get an accurate seed. Lots of other thing were taken into account. CSGN held alot of weight I tihnk! [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]
