UK/IE Cup: Week 4 Continues

The UK/IE CS Cup, one of the most prestigious and highly anticipated CS competitions in the United Kingdom and Ireland, which aims to stand out both as online and LAN event, started its season with 136 accepted British and Irish CS teams. The Groupstage continues its fourth out of five weeks this week, wherein the rough decisions will fall on what teams we will and which we wont see again.

Wednesday's Results

8pm, zebras 44 - 4 eForce United (Group F), (train/dust2)
suiGeneris Vs Synergy (Group E), Wildcarded by Synergy (inferno/fire)
CAution! 32 - 16 contact! (Group B), (train/dust2)
9pm, Choke 24 - 24 Team-X (Group E), (inferno/fire)

zebras and CAution! secure a place in the playoffs with this victory, Choke still remains unsure, knowing that their last fixture against suiGeneris might become ultimately important if other results in the group get an unwanted outcome.

Thursday's Matches

8pm, noLimit 27 - 21 viva La resistance! (Group G), (train/dust2)
MonkeyMagic.evd 31 - 17 euthanasia (Group A), (train/dust2)
9pm BLACKLiGHT Vs remOte.uk (Group F), Rescheduled (train/dust2)
UniCon Vs void.gaming (Group G), Wildcarded by void.gaming (inferno/fire)
fightclubclan 33 - 15 China Numen.uk (Group A), (train/dust2)

noLimit Vs vLr! is a direct battle for the leading position in the group between these two teams, which both won two out of two groupmatches so far.

MonkeyMagic will look to secure the no.2 position in their group already if they beat euthanasia, knowing that their rivals for the first ranking spot in their group (and the included bye into the 8th finals), fightclubclan, did the same earlieer this week.

Knowing that zebras had their their 3rd consecutive groupmatch win last night, BLACKLiGHT will try to keep up with this, thereby making next week's clash between the teams one of great magnitude.

If fightclubclan win they knock out CN.uk tonight, and would do themselves a favour by taking the lead.. what can go wrong here ?

As a big part of teams participating in the UK/IE Cup is attending UKT6 this weekend, most fixtures have been planned before or after this event, except for two matches:

Sunday's Fixtures

8pm, Four Kings Vs Sector7G (Group C), #ukiecup.1 (inferno/fire)
9pm, ONE Vs twisted Reality (Group H), #ukiecup.2 (train/dust2)

Four Kings face a on paper easy ride with Sector7G at the start of their UK/IE Cup campaign, and dont seem to be getting too much trouble securing their first two ranking points.
After ONE's victory over xtreme9 earlieer this week, they can now secures the no.1 final ranking in their group would they repeat their success so far.

TsN coverage

In other news the UK/IE Cup, after constructive talks in the past weeks, is very delighted to announce a solid agreement with the Team Sportscast Network regarding the coverage in different forms of both the remainder of the online competition (starting after the weekend) and the UK/IE Cup LAN Finals, to be held end of June at LITE in Manchester.

The specified details on how the LAN coverage will look like will be worked out in the weeks to come, in which the Cup's current talks with various interested companies in the UK on sponsorship will be of a decisive factor on how extensive this may become.

After they were kicked from cb eF.utd got lots of their chinese friends to pm jamsam and hurl abuse, this abuse had an effect on jamsam who decided they werent cheating after all!!!!
