Clanbase UK/IE Cup: the 1/8 finals

The UK/IE Cup reached the single elimination playoffs, with only 16 teams remaining.
This week the 8th finals are played to determine what eight teams have it in them to reach the quarter finals.

Latest results:

disturbed vs. RemOte.uK, cbble/nuke, 26 - 22
Veterans vs. ForsakeN, cbble/nuke, 24 - 24*

RemOte really gave disturbed a hard time, being all square till a few rounds before the end, yet had to bow for disturbed.

VETS-ForsakeN was a real close game (8-4, 5-7, 4-8, 7-5) that ended all square. Because of personal circumstances of two members the overtime couldnt be played right after and the teams agreed to play it at a later time. In the aftermatch it came clear that ForsakeN used an unauthorized player and therefore VETS has been awarded the forfeit win.

BLACKLiGHT vs. Game Dimension Online, cbble/nuke, 25 - 19
MonkeyMagic vs. team SoliD, cbble/nuke, 33 - 15
AnTs vs. zebras, cbble/nuke, 18 - 30
enamor vs. suiGeneris, cbble/nuke, 31 - 27

Choke took a lead of 12-0 on fcc, after which fcc gave up because of Necro's connetion problems.

Blacklight dominated on the first map, cbble, winning 19-5, then GDO tried to get back into the game, pulled it towards the 4th quarter but were defeated at 24-19.

MonkeyMagic seemed to be a bridge to far for SoliD (11-1, 5-7, 11-1, 6-6), and were therefore pushed aside.

Little is known yet about zebras' victory over AnTs, but we will know more about that match when we get the demos and screenshots.

suiGeneris turned out to be masters of the draw once more. After an all square first map, enamor took a 7-5 lead on the second map, yet sG managed to do the same in the fourth quarter, which meant overtime had to decide this match.
enamor started off well 3-0, 2-1, yet suiGeneris seemed to be able to mirror the score once again, winning the third quarter 1-2. sG (ct cbble) then tried an aggresive pistoltactic, yet lost a 2on1 to nixoh, who thereby secured the Quarter Finals for enamor.

The Quarter Finals will start a week from now (29th) on inferno/mill. Good luck to the teams in their preperations.
