UK/IE Cup: Week 2 Underway

The UK/IE CS Cup, one of the prestigious and highly anticipated online CS competitions in the United Kingdom and Ireland, yet with LAN finals, started its season with 136 accepted British and Irish CS teams. After three rounds of qualifiers this amount was reduced to 40. This week the Groupstage hits it's second out of five weeks, where the top eight seeds get introduced into the action.

Monday's Result

8pm, Synergy Online Vs Team-X (Group E), rescheduled

Tuesday's Results

8pm, Landed Vs Rush! (Group B), rescheduled

Wednesday's Results

7pm, Alliance 33 - 15 bleeding Edge (Group D), (dust2/mill)
8pm, euthanasia Vs Point Five-O (Group A), wildcarded by euth (nuke/cbble)
8.30pm, BLACKLiGHT 33 - 15 intrigue (Group B), (dust2/mill)
9pm, SCEE 17 - 31 CNN (former 2Spectre) (Group B), (dust2/mill)
MonkeyMagic.evd 25 - 4 China Numen (Group A), (nuke/cbble)
Synergy Online 24 - 24 Choke (Group E), (nuke/cbble)

Blacklight-intrigue was initially scheduled for Thursday, but the teams agreed to play it one day earlier instead.

8.30pm, Four Kings Vs c4urself! (Group C), rescheduled to Tue 27th
9pm, void.gaming Vs The Irish Connection.uk (Group G), #ukiecup.2 (nuke/cbble)
contact! Vs CNN (former 2S) (Group B), #ukiecup.3 (nuke/cbble)

Four Kings Vs. c4urself was initially planned for Thursday, but because of 4K players Mangiacapra and Harriman not having ADSL installed yet in their new home (an engineer will do so Monday, and then it can take a few days to get signal), the match was postponed (as it is out of their control, and there are no lan cafes nearby) to Tuesday the 27th of April at 8pm GMT.

Four Kings, or any other clan, would never have been removed as a whole, the matter this was about was an individual player, Andersen, who admitted the mercing, apologised for it, and said he wasnt aware it was an official match for the UK/IE Cup, nor that 4K was in.
I therefore have taken this apology into account, yet warned him and given him a final chance, comparable with a yellow card in football. [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]

I have to agree with Sarge, i cant help wondering if that was any other player other than the one from 4k mercing the consequences would be worse, i truly cant believe that excuse he told you neither "i didnt realise it was an official and i didnt realise we was in the league", a clan of 4k's stature with all their players would know every little detail about the clan especcially what leagues they are in, and how could he not know it was an official the fact theres a hltv and a clanbase server in his little pcw? doesnt compute, but ohh well spose it makes for more exciting games to come as 4K would be weakened without the offender.....
