UK/IE Cup: Groupstage Ends

The UK/IE CS Cup, which aims to stand out both as online and LAN event in the United Kingdom and Ireland, started its season with 136 accepted British and Irish CS teams. After the qualifiers this number was down to 40 teams in the Groupstage, which ends its last out of five weeks this weekend, wherein a lot of important decisions are finally made.

Monday's Matches

After Rush!' loss against CNN last night, SCEE (currently ranked 4th) all of a sudden got back all their chances to qualify for the playoffs, and would even end 2nd in their group if they manage to beat CAution tonight.
CAution! only needs a draw to finish 2nd in the group themselves, and are detirmined to give their best to secure this.

Synergy against outrage!, two teams who couldnt keep up with Choke, sG and teamX, is a battle for merely honour and the fourth place.

UniCon, which is currently ranked 3rd in the group with 4 points behind noLimit and vLr (6 pts), face the groupleaders on the very last day of the groupstage with just one goal, to win, hereby securing the 1st place in the group, which seemed far away after their somewhat poor start.

Playoffs layout gets announced

Tuesday at 10pm GMT (provided the uC-noL match has finished in time), the full playoff fixtures, maps and road to the LAN Finals will be announced in an official UK/IE Cup IRC statement in #ukcup. Don't miss it.
