The first round of matches in Week 2 of the CAL-I CS league were played last night, with the results shaping up as follows:
Formula1 7 - 17 La Resistance ICE 14 - 10 payback SYB 9 - 15 Evil Geniuses Rival 10 - 14 xeno shockwave 8 - 16 BiO Echo7 13 - 11 TEC Drake 7 - 17 Forsaken United5 15 - 9 DeadZone TSG 19 - 5 Malicious Team 3D 17 - 7 TAU RDW 8 - 16 Agent [Updated] Gamewyze 18 - 6 Meepins [Updated]
Surprise of the night comes courtesy of Rival who, after looking good and defeating Forsaken last week, lost in a close match to xeno. Forsaken got back to winning ways, whilst BiO produced a fine 16-8 victory over shockwave. Those remaining unbeaten after 3 matches include 3D, United5, EG, and ICE. Agent and RDW come into that category as well, but they face off tonight, with RDW favourites. Head on over to the official site for the full match info/standings. Midway's usual gotFrag coverage covers all you need to know about the lastest round of matches.

right.... you see the title 'CAL-I Season 10 - 2:1' and dont like the US news then dont read it. comments such as "this is boring" "we dont need to know this" "why post this" etc... really arent needed. Just dont read it or post on the subject if it doesnt interest you :)
really really simple that one [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]

cyrus, I could swear that was the UK scene you were describing :). The whole cs community, regardless of country is as fickle as it gets.
yes fez, that's because it is predictable garbage, very similar what you think of these posts. The funny thing is, it's the same 3 or 4 who waste their time commenting on how they're not interested. I'm sure there are lots more who aren't interested, but don't feel the need to let us know every day. These comments just make me more eager to post it. As much as you'd like to have uk only, mediocre team scandals, it doesn't work like that. We don't generate the news, just post it....if there is any relevant UK news, it gets posted too. Last I'll say on the matter....if a staff member decides to post about the CSGN league divs lower than div1 (since that and prem are covered by zorro), then all the better. However, I'm not planning to do it. What I do plan to do, is post the results from the best organised US (poss world?) league, where I do know about most of the teams (compared to the zero I know from div4 csgn).
You say people would rather read about CSGN, well that's fair enough...but you don't speak for 'people'...eg, I like hearing about the US league, and as long as I know that there's at least one other person interested, then I'll post it.
It doesn't come down to a choice between the CAL-i league and the lower CSGN league, if someone decides to cover the lower league, so be it. I'll still be adding the US league as an extra.
ps - I know the CSGN lower leagues are being used as an example here, and that you'd probably flame that if it was posted too. [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]
