SK Announce New Sponsors

Multi gaming team Schroet Kommando have been busy recently with the announcement that a sponsorship deal has been agreed with NVidia. You may or may not know that Team3D from North America have also got the same sponsorship deal. This will be another major step forward for the already dominate SK and can only be good for them. Here is the press release from SK:

The multinational gaming team Schroet Kommando (SK) adds another high-profile sponsor to its line-up of cooperations: NVIDIA, the market leader in visual computing technology. NVIDIA will provide SK members with financial support and the latest in graphics hardware.
NVIDIA's graphics and communications processors have broad market reach and are incorporated into a wide variety of computing platforms, including consumer digital-media PCs, enterprise PCs, professional workstations, digital content creation systems, notebook PCs, military navigation systems and video game consoles.
The SK team members are looking forward to improve their gaming performance thanks to the latest quality products from NVIDIA. "This is a major step for SK, as we found a perfect partner working with us in the graphics card sector. NVIDIA hardware is known for an outstanding performance and we are sure our players will enjoy their games a lot more!", explains Andreas Thorstensson, Leader & Managing Director of SK.
The partnership agreement between SK and NVIDIA is effective from January 2004.

Well done to SK for getting the deal and good luck in the future.

	Abysmal 16:05 6/1/2004	You'd be surprised just how much they have grown, certainly starting to give a competition actually worthwhile to nvidia. 40% growth apparently within 3 months is rather good. I do like their cards a lot, currently on a 9700 pro myself, but nvidia drivers are a heck of a lot better (hey at least they have refresh rate overrides). [ Comment: Report \| IP: Logged ]

	Abysmal 21:43 6/1/2004	Mmm, well as for refresh rate overrides, it _does_ work, but not with the standard drivers. I can only override to 1 refresh rate, which has to be 85Hz because catalysts are sucky. However, I just use rage3d tweak to get around that, works a charm, just sits in the control panel with the rest of your ati stuff. [ Comment: Report \| IP: Logged ]

	-Naz- fightclubclan 17:34 7/1/2004	surely you miss the point completely. sponsors arent interested in providing a fairer playing field, they want their product associated with proven WINNERS. its like how vodaphone sponsor ferrari F1, manchester utd (england cricket team lol)... they are winners.
