Hyper Joins SK

Photo of hyper and bds shaking hands CPL Summer 2004 World Championship Winner Daniel "Hyper" Kuusisto has departed EYEBallers for SK-Gaming. Hyper, 18, and a former member of top Swedish sides such as CaYa, HLO and EYE was announced as the clan leader just minutes ago on SK-Gaming.com:

Yes, that is right, Hyper will take over as the tactician and in-game captain. Something we have been lacking lately. The team is also back to a six man rotation. Using one extra player always has its pros and cons depending on the situation, but right now this is the by far the best alternative.
We believe that SK is a great step for Hyper in his development as a player. Here he will get a stable team and organisation. And we also feel that Hyper is a great step for the SK Counter-Strike team!

In a short, public interview conducted with Hyper, he states that he felt SK-Gaming had a much safer organisation and would accomodate his talents to a far greater degree:

How do you feel about leaving EYE, even after previously beating SK?

It feels really sad to leave the guys, they evolved from just team mates to great friends and I don't like leaving them in a bad situation right now. But I hope they realise I had to do this for my own sake, and I really hope they respect my decision in the long run. It would be sad to lose great friends over this. On the other hand things like this happen and will continue to do since CS is growing every day and becoming more and more of a sport and less of a computer game.
What are you most looking forward to about playing with SK?

SK is so much more than just a gaming-clan and that's what attracts me a bit, to travel around the world and meet media and fans. Else then that it's a really good team with nice individuals both inside the game and outside it, I think it will be great!

It is worth noting that there was no transfer fee involved, which suggests Hyper was not contracted to EYE.

Few would envy the task and pressure he will now face with SK. However, can anyone doubt a man, who with just a few weeks practice and no sponsors, led his former team to victory over the previous champions at the CPL finals?
