ESWC CS Seeding Pools Announced

The Electronic Sports World Cup has recently announced its seeding pools for this year's male Counter-Strike competition.

In the high seed pools will be:

Adrenaline
ArmaTeam
astralis
Made in Brazil
Mouz Levicom GeForce
NOA
Schroet Kommando
The-Titans

The only real surprise of the high seed pool being relatively unknown Finnish side, astralis, who defeated DSky to qualify for the competition. The lower seed pool consists of:

The Stomping Ground
Virtus.pro
WOLF

Many sides in this group have the potential to cause an upset. Watch out for SSV Lehnitz*AKG.com and Virtus Pro to have a significant impact following their recent performance at CPL Belgrade.

Group drawing will take place on Tuesday 6th July. There will be 8 original groups with 5 or 6 teams. A group will have one team drawn from the higher pool, one from the lower and 3/4 from the challenger pool.

17:26 3/7/2004		 I expect SK to come prepared. One team that is constantly negelected is The Titan, expect a strong, maybe even top 3 finish out of them. NoA's 2nd international proving grounds, so we will see what they can produce, they are obviously better then they were at CPL Winter, so a showdown between SK and NoA would be great to see.

MIBR continue to bootcamp and get better and better, if they have continued on the track they were going at CPL winter expect them to turn some heads. team stomping grounds has been having a tear on CAL this season and look great as well. Ownage had a poor performance at CPL UK quals, and need to rebound here.

When you've got high profile players like iLight from xP and hyber + crypt from dopefish, clans who have all done more than aT have the seedings seem slightly innacurate.
