As well as the earlier announcement about surnames, The CPL site has been updated with some news regarding CS configs."The CPL announced today that it will no longer allow the use of custom configuration files for Counter-Strike competitions, including qualifier tournaments. A new modified in-game menu will allow players to bind configurations which are legal according to the official CPL rules. The console will no longer be accessible to participants. The modified configuration menu includes such additions as numeric mouse sensitivity input, a crosshair color selector, and it is designed to retain all the needed configurations once only available at the console.
Now this may be fairer in the eyes of some people, as it will give everyone the same chance to win. However, I don't agree with it to be honest, I feel that configs are part of the game.
Anyway, you can see the modified config menu over on the site.
