Colonel Lai (Stomped) has updated his column with a new rant about media coverage of games in general, with regards to the recent trend for blaming games for violence:"In analysis, while violent computer games MAY POSSIBLY BE a factor in some, if not all, violent incidents involving young adults, it is NOT the sole cause for them. The media often unfairly judges the gaming industry as a brainwasher that turns well-behaved children into rabid barbarians. Although I don't have the specific numbers, millions of copies of computer games are sold per year, and a maximum of 20-30 violent incidents is shown on CNN in any particular annum."
As always, the colonel provides a great read.
