Just yesterday we brought you a news story regarding a security guard that had been shot dead in an abortion clinic in Melobourne, Australia. We covered how the Herald Sun had written an article on it, which tried to throw some of the blame towards the HL series of games. Now Buzzmoo (CyberForces Gaming Nation) has come up with an article regarding the whole blame situation:
"Nikki has said in her article that the Half-Life series is "violent and bloodthirsty". As I said before I will attempt to post an unbiased view on the situation. Half-Life is violent. Infect you ask any gamer and they will tell you so. You do kill enemies, and there is blood. Bloodthirsty on the other hand, is just plain wrong. The idea of the game is self-preservation, and this is not gained by trying to kill everything you see. The game promotes thinking, not slaughter."
He basically goes through her article, analysing the key points and trying to defend the HL side of the argument.
