Gamespy have been running their top 50 games of all time this week, and they've finally whittled down to the last/top 10. You may remeber we told you that Counter-Strike had come in 29th, well now it's the turn of Half-Life.The game we all love, Half-Life, has managed to sneak in at second place. A worthy position to be in after beating of some very good games.
"Valve Software's Half-Life redefined action gaming. A competetive graphics engine (powered in part by a Quake1 license), a stable of interesting creatures, a realistic setting, and a Military most definitely not interested in helping out the protagonist helped keep players' interests high. The framework of the story is nowhere near as complex as might be found in an RPG or advenutre title, but Valve's presentation more than made up for it. Slick, smart, and continuously interesting..."
I recommend checking out the Top 10 of all time.
