Count Floyd, creator of PoDBot, arguably the best bot around, has updated his site with a little news regarding how the latest version is coming along."After exchanging ideas with killaruna, author of ParaBot, I finally extended the hearing system in POD-Bot to include things like opening doors, using ladders etc. which wasn't heard by Bots previously. Playing with the interactive chat system of ParaBot I thought I need something like this too and after 2 days I'm now finished with coding on it. To my surprise it works without flaws and it's very funny to see interactive chats going on between dead Bots :). It's only restricted by your computers memory and works like that old Eliza system, so if you feed it with a whole dictionary and replies to it, POD-Bot should get quite smart (it's certainly an illusion) in discussions.While I was at it, there are now a lot more keywords you can use inside the chat sentences, like name of the current map, roundtime etc. making the chats a bit more life-like...well, just wait and see - the next release shouldn't be so far away now."
This bot just keeps getting better and better with each new release, good work Floyd.
