Global Ops: Counter-Strike Killer?

This isn't entirely CS related but it may be of interest to many CS lovers. Over at Gamespy they've come up with a preview of Barking Dog's military team-based FPS, Global Operations.

"It may be easy to dub every team based FPS a "Counter-Strike clone," but developer Barking Dog's impressive portfolio should merit a closer look at Global Operations, the latest team-based shooter on the gaming radar."

Ever since the announcement of Global Ops, it has received a mixed response in the CS community. Some believe that it's simply going to be a CS 'rip-off', whereas others believe it will prove to be superior, yet quite different to CS. The preview gives an insight into what the reality will be when it's finally released.

Barking Dog joined the CS team and Valve to work on CS beta 5, contributing some great work...many people believed this was one of the best releases to date.

'Global Ops: Counter-Strike Killer?' We shall see, but I very much doubt it.
