UK CS 5V5 Championships - Revised Schedule

Applications have been trickling in for this big money competition, with confirmed applications already from a number of top teams including UniCon, Caution!, Cortex, Harmless and several others.

After some consideration we have decided to reduce the entry fee (and therefore the prize fund) to enable more teams to take part. We have also decided to allow teams to attend as many or as few qualifiers as they wish, additionally the final has been extended to sixteen qualifying teams who will compete for the top prizes over both the Saturday and Sunday. For participants in the BYOC or CS finals there will be a sleeping area available free of charge, if you would prefer to get a proper nights sleep please ask for details of reasonably priced local hotels.

Main points:

Entry fee reduced to £15 per event
Number of teams to qualify increased to sixteen
No minimum number of events (a good performance at two of the eight events should secure a place in the top 16)
Cash prize fund now £2,000 with £1,000 first prize plus sponsored prizes
Attend 3 qualifying events and receive free entry to BYOC

At this time there are spaces available at all qualifying events, to apply please email n4@unicongaming.co.uk stating which dates you would like to attend:

February 2005 : 26th / 27th
March 2005 : 5th / 6th / 12th / 13th / 19th / 20th
National Finals & Easter BYOC
March 2005 : 25th / 26th / 27th / 28th

	mebR 21:10 21/2/2005	there are qualifiers on both days of the weekend, so u travel up, play a qualifier, stay the night then and play another qualifier. dont know what dates the actual finals are on though because it has 4 days down, and surely a 16 man cup cant last 4 days :S also, if the cup is on the weekend its gonna be hard for any people to get the weekend off (if your a student that works weekends) because of it being easter week, so please if the final is only gonna last 2 days have it on the weekdays !
