ESL UK CS Cup Final

Little under a month has passed and the ESL UK CS cup final is upon us. Thirty-two teams started out and we are now down to the final two, Lastchance and Team Drake. This looks set to be a very entertaining fixture, both teams were seeded highly in the competition, Lastchance #1 and Team Drake #2, so as seeds would go, we are set for the best possible final.

Both sides route to the final can be found below:

After the rather controversial game against Mayi, Lastchance ran into tough competition against Virgins who managed to push them into double overtime on de_cbble but Lastchance managed to come through and go on to take the semi final versus Caution on de_inferno without to much trouble.

Team Drake have managed to come through also without to many problems only dropping 26 rounds in their four matches, half of those lost rounds were at the hands of Landed.cs in a close match which in the end went in Team Drakes favour and saw them on their way into the final.

With Kardy making his first official appearance for Lastchance in ESL tonight I’m sure it will spice things up for many viewers, but Team Drake are more than capable of matching anything Lastchance throw at them and with awping like Zombies, watch out Lastchance. The match is set to kick off at 21:00 hrs GMT and the map being played is de_nuke so bring on the wallbanging!

HLTV IP for tonight is bcast.blank-TV.de:27400 and there are 600 slots available. Best of luck to both teams and may the best team win

01:04 17/2/2005		 Its not a UK qualifier its the UK hosted cup, there's very few worthy tournaments in Iceland and the bigger Euro comps they cant ping well enough to compete in. Rename the tourny, the arguement that it's "good" to have them in holds no water whatsoever for calling it a UK tourny. May as well let 3D enter the UK/IE cup, it'll be "good" for us. well maybe DoZ, just maybe, their pings are good enough to play in UK competitions

Surely its up to them if they want to be disadvantaged by their ping or not. If they want to play on 70-80 ping and don't moan about it, then I'm all for them playing. This can be read in two ways as follows:

1) the 'ESL UK' CS Cup - meaning a CS cup run by 'ESL UK'. As mike said.

2) the ESL 'UK CS' Cup - meaning a CS cup run for UK based teams by ESL.
