CitizenC (3D Action Planet) has uploaded a new interview with Punkbuster creator - Tony Ray. Incase you don't already know, Punkbuster is an anti-cheat program that is widely used in the CS community.

"3DActionPlanet: The latest version of the PunkBuster server includes screen capture support. How does this work, exactly? What steps did you take to ensure low bandwidth consumption?

Tony Ray: Right now, a PunkBuster admin can request a screenshot from one or more players on his server - in most cases, the screen capture is returned and can be viewed after a few seconds. Eventually, we'll have automatic random captures done with the capability to auto-publish to websites for admins who are interested in that sort of thing. Our PB Client reads video memory directly rather than depending on anything from within the game. We throttle bandwidth of the transfer to 1K/sec to keep bandwidth consumption minimal."
