The Winter CPL tournament starts today, and the UK contingent of 4kings and Team AMD Gamer both face first round opponents from the US of A. First up will be TAG [#21] at 18:25 GMT vs ESEA [#44], where a TAG victory would most likely set up a second round clash with United5. Later this evening at around 21:15 GMT, 4kings [#11] will be expected to cruise to victory over Lethal Hippies [#54].

yeah they had a bad online result vs TeG, but who's never had a bad result online before? :)
with a team far below the individual skill they have now, they went to the CPL last time and did more respectably vs SK and NoA than most of the teams that were present wouldve done, with a better team this time i see no reason why they cant come top 10.

13:24 16/12/2004 i really hope TAG surprise half the pricks chatting s*** in this column. they had a decent result in summer and have strengthened the team since, not weakened it and have had time for the new guys to settle in. in all honesty i feel they could do better than 4k if they get a bit of luck.
sorry mabye i missed something, but i think 4K added some new players as well.

The better the seed, the easier the matches they will face early on.
The only way CPL might make someone's path easier/harder is by making bad seeds, and it would be a coincidence.
CPL might favor certain teams through the way they seed them, but that would be because they rate them too high, and not because they are e-friends or whatever.
PS: Way to make fun of midway pre-CPL and then have nothing to back up your claims of 4K's greatness .. you sure did a good job there! [ Comment: Report | IP: Logged ]
