Planet Half-life made a feauture about grrl gamers. It's pretty good, and nice to read, but i totally disliked the solutions, which were to solve the problem of getting names called at you for instance (if you're a grrl that is). Here are the solutions according to Mudd, which changed his name to a female one and entered a server.Method 1: If the antagonists don't know you're a female, they won't abuse you for it. Lie, deny yourself. Don't use female guild tags. Change your name to something unisex, like "Player." I don't expect this one to go over well with many people, but it is a good solution for those who have just had too much.Method 2: Find yourself a home field. Join a clan with a server or find a server who has a lot of admins who play there a lot. More than 60% of the people I surveyed said that if you go one place often, the people there get to know you. You're playing with friends who, in most cases, will stick up for you. This is one reason for female guilds and clans; support from friends. Enclose yourself into a safety envelope.
Method 3: Ignore what people say. Either don't read it yourself, or don't take it to heart. Become a rock and an island so that nothing gets through to you. Build a wall around yourself that no words can puncture. Enclose your heart in stone. Ignore them and hope they go away.
Method 4: Only play in private servers with friends. Don't expand your horizons, sink yourself into the ground so you don't have to deal with those you don't trust.
Method 5: Stop playing all together. Run from your problems, and into the safety of being away from those who are wrong. Run because you can't think of anything better to do. Uninstall, and take up Solitaire.
