Dethkulter (Challenge World) has written up a short guide to changing games from Quake to CS. He discusses what someone that hasn't yet entered the CS community may need/want to know..."CS is a game of great skill.
Believe it, it's true. There is an awful lot of luck and randomness in the game, but the best players can consistently do some impossible things for mere mortals. Headshots from miles away with an mp5, avoiding flashbangs out in the open, and innate prediction take a long time to learn and pay off handsomely. And although I have no great desire to learn how to do it myself, I have great respect for those players who can switch between a zoomed in AWP and a Deagle like changing hands with a tennis racket, and land every single shot to boot."
It's a good read and even though I never played Quake much, I know what he is talking about (ie game differences).
