The new version of Punkbuster will be able to grab screenshots directly from the client's PC. I'll let their site do the talking:Major Announcement: Soon-coming versions of PunkBuster will include a new feature that provides for player-side screenshots (and/or partial screenshots) to be retrieved by PunkBuster Servers during gameplay. We are in the last stages of preparing to release the new code and will be working with a few choice PB Admins to test this feature in live situations. We are taking great pains to provide client-side logging to ensure the integrity of this feature. We are also using direct access to video hardware to grab images rather than depending on the built-in screenshot feature of the games in an effort keep required cpu cycles to a minimum. The next PB Client release will include code to allow screenshots to be retrieved automatically by PB Servers.
All very well, but I'd prefer to see all the Wallhacks removed first. It also raises the issue of us poor modemers being lagged out, whilst the screenshots upload. Let's hope this is another tool against the cheaters.
